Privacy Policy

Effective: August 4, 2026 — Last Updated: August 4, 2026

Thank you for using FiveSecondSports.com (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). The Service is an 18+ sports analytics and fantasy football platform and is not a real-money sportsbook or gambling product.

1. Information We Collect

When you register for or use Five Second Sports, we may collect the following information:

  • Account Information: First name, last name, email address, password (if you register with email), and confirmation that you are 18 or older and accept our Terms and this Privacy Policy.
  • Sign-In Provider Data: If you sign in with Google, Yahoo, or another supported provider, we receive limited profile information from that provider (typically name, email, and a provider account identifier) as permitted by your settings with them.
  • Fantasy & Product Data: Fantasy teams and rosters you create, bookmarks, reading activity, persona preferences, and related settings.
  • AI Advice & Chat Data: Messages you send to AI features, generated responses, conversation history, and related context we store to provide continuity and personalization (including memory features where available).
  • Usage & Billing Data: Feature usage, plan status, rate-limit and token/spend balance information, and related operational metrics needed to provide and protect the Service.
  • Device & Technical Information: Browser type, device type, IP address, and general location (such as city or country).
  • Security & Abuse Prevention: Information needed to verify you are human and protect accounts (for example, Cloudflare Turnstile verification tokens during registration).

We collect this information directly from you, from your sign-in provider when you choose SSO, and automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, maintain, secure, and operate the Service.
  • To personalize recommendations, advice context, and other features (including news, summaries, and AI analyst interactions).
  • To process AI advice requests and maintain conversation and memory context where those features are enabled.
  • To manage plans, usage limits, and account balances, and to prevent abuse of the Service.
  • To send service-related and marketing emails (for example, account verification, security notices, product updates, and promotional offers).
  • To analyze and improve the Service (analytics, troubleshooting, and feature development).
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us (see “Contact Us” below).

3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, web beacons, and similar technologies to remember your login, store cookie preferences, track usage patterns, and improve personalization. You may control cookie settings in your browser; however, disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

Types of Cookies We Use:

  • Essential Cookies: Necessary for the Service to function properly. They enable core functionality such as authentication, security, and account management. These cookies cannot be disabled and do not require your consent.
  • Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Service. These cookies collect information about your use of the Service, including pages visited, time spent on pages, and how you arrived at our Service. These cookies are optional and require your consent.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about your use of the Service. The information generated by these cookies about your use of the Service (including your IP address, which we anonymize) is transmitted to and stored by Google. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the Service, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses, which means your full IP address is not stored. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by declining non-essential cookies when prompted, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For more information about how Google uses data when you use our Service, please visit Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookie Retention: Essential cookies are typically session-based or expire when you log out. Analytics cookies may persist for up to 2 years, depending on the specific cookie. Cookie consent preferences may be stored locally for up to one year. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent banner.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We may share limited personal information with trusted third parties who help us operate and deliver the Service. These partners are limited to using your information as needed to provide services to us. Categories include:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store and process Service data.
  • Email delivery providers for verification, security, and other account messages.
  • Analytics providers such as Google Analytics (as described in Section 3).
  • AI and memory providers that process chat inputs, generated outputs, and related context to deliver advice features.
  • Security providers such as Cloudflare (including Turnstile) to help prevent bots and abuse.
  • Sign-in providers (for example, Google or Yahoo) when you choose to authenticate through them. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. If we engage in advertising or other relationships that involve additional data sharing, we will update this section with specific details and provide clear choices where required by law (for example, under CCPA/CPRA or GDPR), and we will revise the date above.

5. Email Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may send you service messages and marketing emails. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email. Essential account or security messages may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Conversation history, memories, and related AI context may be retained to operate those features until you delete them (where tools are available) or request deletion, or until we remove them under our retention practices.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (subject to any legal obligations to retain certain information). Some in-product controls may also let you delete chat data separately from your full account.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. While we strive to protect your data, no system can guarantee 100% security. If a data breach occurs, we will follow applicable legal requirements, including notifying affected users when required.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is for users 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as:

  • The right to access or receive a copy of your personal data.
  • The right to correct inaccurate information.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data.
  • The right to object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • The right to data portability.

To exercise your rights, contact us using the information below. We will respond to verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.

10. International Transfers

Because we operate globally and use cloud and AI providers, personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. When transfers occur, we will protect your data consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
